NEW BEGINNINGS

MEET MAGGIE & SAM

Maggie and Sam moved to the area wanting to be closer to family. With this change in lifestyle they
considered new opportunities that might suit them. They pondered different venues with the intent of starting a business but not knowing what it might be. They kept an open mind to all.

Maggie has 30+ years of public relations and Sam has 20 years of being a machinist and 9 years of Restaurant experience. As fate would have it Maggie picked up a Biz X Magazine during an outing. A particular article caught her interest. That article happened to be about Dutch Boys Chocolate lnc. being for sale. She read it from start to finish and went home to Sam and said "What would you say to being a Chocolatier?" Sam laughed not realizing Maggie was sincere. The couple decided to visit the shop the next day. Mr. Boon was on his own and it became apparent they were interested in business discussions so a meeting was arranged with everyone for the following week. From there on discussion became more frequent and detailed. A strong bond began to grow. This was the beginning of Maggie and Sam's new adventure.

Mr. Boon and Mr. Noestheden stayed on to train and support the new owners with the official passing of the torch finalizing in November 2022. Henry and Cor continued to help through the Christmas rush.
